The question was simple: what do you need?
The answer was even simpler: care.
That is where our story began.

In 2010 we attended a Christmas event at a children's home, where children with disabilities put on a truly heartfelt show for us, the “healthy” ones. Moved by what we felt that day, we began looking for ways to thank the children and adults who had given us those indescribably good feelings. The question was simple: what do you need? The answer was even simpler: care.

That is where our story began. Over the past years, we have managed time and again to put a smile on the faces of children, with and without disabilities, through the programmes and surprises we have come up with and organised for them!

Over the years, acquaintances, friends and countless strangers have joined our team with the wish to help. Together we have been — and still are — enthusiastically preparing to serve, in many different ways, the children growing up as orphans, in disadvantaged circumstances or in institutional care in Hungary, Romania and Ukraine, for whom everyday happiness is in short supply!

For us, “the smile of children” matters a great deal! This care is one of the ways love shows itself! Whether a child is healthy, or a little person with superhuman strength who can play the piano beautifully despite missing legs and fingers — it is for them and because of them that we founded the Határtalan Segítség Foundation!
